Registered Nurse (RN) | Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma Location: Albany, GA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,110 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 17 Weeks Start Date: 1/19/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 17 Weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in an acute care setting License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, ASLS or NIHSS. TNCC is preferred. Must-Have: Meditech 6.15 experience Description: The position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency room setting. Candidates will be expected to have experience working in an acute care environment. COVID immunization is not required; however, those not vaccinated must be willing to be tested weekly. A clinical interview or an "auto-offer" may be offered based on profile and skills review. ER nurses will take an online cardiac rhythms test administered during the application process. A minimum passing score of 80% is required for this test. During orientation, the ESI Triage Exam will also be administered. Should candidates fail the ESI exam, remediation will be arranged by an ER Nurse Educator prior to retesting. Candidates with preferable travel experience or 5 or more years in a Level 1 Trauma Facility will be prioritized. The position involves a fast track area to handle less acute patients. A high volume of non-emergent patients will be screened and directed to community care clinics. The emergency room has 25 monitored beds, with additional beds for fast treatment and trauma situations. A behavioral lockdown area equipped for psychiatric care is present within the unit. On average, approximately 140 patients visit the emergency department per day. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 to 4. Nurses will be responsible for their own lab draws and IV starts. Dedicated respiratory therapy services are available 24/7. Pharmacy services are also on-site and accessible 24/7. Candidates should be adaptable to floor-specific orientation, which requires 1-2 shifts based on comfort level. Common patient diagnoses include pediatric to geriatric cases, with trauma, neuro, and ortho cases being typical. No burn cases are kept in this facility, which actively serves as a CVA center. Candidates are encouraged to provide details on any prior triage training they have received. Familiarity with Alaris pumps is also appreciated.
