ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Albany, Georgia. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 02/02/2026 Duration: 17 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • Work on 2C Observation Unit with 22 beds • Patient ratios of 1:5 or 1:6 with charge nurse in staffing • Every other weekend requirement • Holiday rotation with permanent staff • No call or standby requirements • Float to med surg units as needed • 3 shift unit-specific orientation provided • Must follow strict 75 mile radius rule • Required certifications: BLS (AHA), NIHSS • ACLS not required but highly recommended • BSN not required • Dress code: Caribbean Blue top and bottom OR White top and Caribbean Blue bottom OR all white top/bottom • Care for medical observation unit patients with miscellaneous diagnoses • Manage heparin drips (only titratable drip on unit) • Heavy telemetry unit monitored by central monitoring • RNs read strips and perform own EKGs and lab draws • Fast-paced environment with high patient turnover • Handle up to 16 discharges per day with frequent admissions • Work with 2 CNAs when staffing allows • No ventilators but other respiratory equipment present • Use MEDITECH charting system • 12-hour cancellation policy every 2 weeks Facility: This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive medical observation unit designed to provide specialized monitoring and care for patients requiring close observation before discharge or admission to other units.
