Job Description Job Description Adecco Staffing is working with a well-known manufacturing company in Auburn, Maine to bring on a Maintenance Mechanic for their production facility. This is a great opportunity for an experienced maintenance professional to support equipment reliability and production operations in a manufacturing environment. Position: Maintenance Mechanic Shift: 2nd Shift: 2:30pm – 10:30pm (Must be able to work 2nd shift long term) Pay: Dependent on previous manufacturing maintenance experience Duties and Responsibilities • Start machines and observe mechanical operations to detect and diagnose equipment issues • Lubricate machines and equipment components according to specified maintenance procedures • Clean machines and machine parts using solvents, air guns, vacuums, and other cleaning equipment • Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning machine components and equipment • Perform routine maintenance including inspecting motors, drives, belts, filters, and fluid levels • Diagnose mechanical problems using blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs and determine corrective actions • Dismantle machinery or equipment to access and remove defective parts using hand tools, power tools, hoists, or cranes • Repair machines, equipment, or structures using tools such as drills, saws, wrenches, or precision measuring instruments • Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical components, pipe systems, plumbing, and machinery • Interpret electrical schematics and machine drawings to support troubleshooting and repairs • Cut and weld metal to repair broken parts, fabricate new components, or assemble equipment • Measure, cut, and bend wire or conduit using measuring instruments and hand tools • Inspect and test machinery or equipment to verify proper operation • Perform basic SAP transactions related to maintenance and production records • Maintain a clean and safe work environment and interface with employees across departments Qualifications • High School Diploma or GED required • Successful completion of Electricity I coursework or equivalent experience • Boiler Operator Certification or willingness to obtain boiler license within 6 months of hire • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a maintenance role or equivalent experience • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and repair manuals • Ability to perform shop math and use standard measuring instruments If you are interested in this position, please apply using the link provided and be sure to include an updated resume.
