Job Description Job Description Adecco Staffing is working with
a well-known manufacturing company in Auburn, Maine to bring on a
Maintenance Mechanic for their production facility. This is a great
opportunity for an experienced maintenance professional to support
equipment reliability and production operations in a manufacturing
environment. Position: Maintenance Mechanic Shift: 2nd Shift:
2:30pm – 10:30pm (Must be able to work 2nd shift long term) Pay:
Dependent on previous manufacturing maintenance experience Duties
and Responsibilities • Start machines and observe mechanical
operations to detect and diagnose equipment issues • Lubricate
machines and equipment components according to specified
maintenance procedures • Clean machines and machine parts using
solvents, air guns, vacuums, and other cleaning equipment • Repair
or replace broken or malfunctioning machine components and
equipment • Perform routine maintenance including inspecting
motors, drives, belts, filters, and fluid levels • Diagnose
mechanical problems using blueprints, repair manuals, or parts
catalogs and determine corrective actions • Dismantle machinery or
equipment to access and remove defective parts using hand tools,
power tools, hoists, or cranes • Repair machines, equipment, or
structures using tools such as drills, saws, wrenches, or precision
measuring instruments • Assemble, install, or repair wiring,
electrical components, pipe systems, plumbing, and machinery •
Interpret electrical schematics and machine drawings to support
troubleshooting and repairs • Cut and weld metal to repair broken
parts, fabricate new components, or assemble equipment • Measure,
cut, and bend wire or conduit using measuring instruments and hand
tools • Inspect and test machinery or equipment to verify proper
operation • Perform basic SAP transactions related to maintenance
and production records • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
and interface with employees across departments Qualifications •
High School Diploma or GED required • Successful completion of
Electricity I coursework or equivalent experience • Boiler Operator
Certification or willingness to obtain boiler license within 6
months of hire • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a maintenance
role or equivalent experience • Ability to read blueprints,
schematics, and repair manuals • Ability to perform shop math and
use standard measuring instruments If you are interested in this
