Koch Foods, a leader in poultry processing, is seeking a dedicated CDL Feed Haul Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. This role is pivotal in maintaining our pledge for timely delivery and exceptional quality by transporting feed to our various operational facilities. As a CDL Feed Haul Driver, you’ll ensure our production chain remains fluid and efficient, directly impacting our capability to serve customers nationwide with premium poultry products. Safely operate a feed hauling truck to transport feed according to scheduled delivery requirements. Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance. Plan routes and meet delivery schedules to ensure efficient operations. Document and log work/rest periods, miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts. Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures. Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, report any issues to the logistics manager, and collect and verify delivery instructions. Report defects, accidents, or violations and handle unforeseen situations like traffic, weather conditions, etc. Proven work experience as a truck driver with a clean driving record. Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB, etc.). Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly. Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations. Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.). Strong organizational and time management skills. Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with HAZMAT and tank endorsements. Completion of an accredited driving school course preferred but not required.
