Job Description:
Job Description VRC is seeking a Veterinary Technician to join
our Diagnostic Imaging Department. This position plays a vital role
in supporting advanced diagnostics across multiple services. The
technician will perform radiographs, CT, and MRI studies , working
closely with veterinarians, specialists, and the imaging team to
ensure high-quality studies and excellent patient care. Training on
MRI and CT will be provided for qualified veterinary technicians.
Key Responsibilities Perform diagnostic imaging procedures
including: Digital radiography Computed Tomography (CT) Magnetic
Resonance Imaging (MRI) Safely prepare, position, and monitor
patients during imaging procedures Assist with anesthesia and
patient monitoring as required for imaging studies Ensure proper
imaging protocols are followed for accuracy and consistency
Maintain imaging equipment and adhere to quality control standards
Accurately document procedures and patient information in medical
records Follow radiation safety, MRI safety, and hospital safety
protocols Collaborate effectively with veterinarians, specialists,
and technical staff Provide compassionate handling and care for
patients throughout the imaging process Required Qualifications
Candidates must meet one of the following criteria: Veterinary
Pathway 3 years Experience working in the veterinary field
(technician or assistant role) Solid understanding of veterinary
anatomy Comfortable handling animals in a clinical setting
Willingness to train and develop skills in MRI and CT imaging Human
Healthcare Imaging Pathway MRI and/or CT certification in human
healthcare No prior veterinary experience required if certified
Willingness to learn veterinary anatomy, patient handling, and
veterinary workflows Preferred Qualifications Credentialed
Veterinary Technician (CVT, LVT, or RVT) Prior experience with
veterinary radiography Experience in specialty, ER, or referral
hospital settings Strong attention to detail and ability to follow
technical protocols Calm, professional demeanor in a fast-paced
