Job Description LPTA provides services to patients who have postoperative impairments and functional limitations; addresses patient risk factors that may impede optimal functioning; provides prevention and promotes health, wellness and fitness; consults, educates and participates in evidenced based inquiries as a basis of care. LPTA will also administers therapeutic procedures utilized in physical therapy as directed by the physical therapist for all age groups infant through geriatric. Identifies patients in need of re-assessment or intervention by a physical therapist and routinely collaborates with the physical therapist regarding the plan of care. The LPTA will work under the direction of the Joint Program Coordinator to plan and provide education for all Joint Replacement patients.Education: Must have the required education needed to be a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant.Experience: Must have 1 year experience in the acute care setting treating orthopedic patients, including joint replacement.Excellent organizational, leadership, speaking, and motivational skills preferred.Licenses/Certifications: Must be licensed or eligible for licensure by the Alabama State Board of Physical Therapy.Must maintain current BLS certification
