Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Critical Care - Float Pool Duration: 17 Weeks Shift: 12-Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years in ICU and PCU settings required License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Proficiency in both ICU and PCU settings - Strong assessment skills - Experience with a variety of diagnoses in critical care Description: We are seeking a contract Registered Nurse with experience in both Intensive Care Unit and Progressive Care Unit settings. The position requires proficiency in multiple areas within a large hospital setting. Candidates must hold certifications in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale. A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required. The role involves floating between different critical care units based on staffing needs. The nurse will need to successfully manage high-acuity patients and perform a range of clinical tasks. Common patient diagnoses include sepsis, diabetic ketoacidosis, acute respiratory distress syndrome, and cardiovascular surgeries. Weekend and holiday shifts are part of the scheduling requirements.
