Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: CVICU - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 04/13/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview - Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs - Hours: 36 hrs/wk - Start Date: Apr 13, 2026 - Length: 13 weeks - Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) position requiring cardiac and respiratory care experience, with night shifts and every other weekend availability. Details - 8-bed CVICU unit in a hospital setting - Patient population includes post cardiac procedure patients, A-fib/flutter, stable AMIs, respiratory cases managed with Optiflow and V-60s (no ventilators), diabetic patients on insulin drips, and patients on cardiac drips (Cardizem, Cardene, Amiodarone, Tridil, renal dose Dopamine, Heparin) - Patient ratio of 1:4 - Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:00 - Every other weekend required - Self-scheduling - Epic EMR experience preferred - 13-week contract Requirements - Active AL RN license or compact RN license currently in hand - Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred - Experience with a variety of cardiac, respiratory, and diabetic patient diagnoses as described above - First-time travelers are welcome with stepdown or PCU experience - Two professional references required for consideration - Copy of Driver's License and Social Security card required for consideration - COVID vaccination required; Religious or Medical exemptions accepted with proof - Flu vaccination required; Religious or Medical exemptions accepted with proof Additional Information - Candidates must reside more than 90 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be considered - Navy scrubs required, or navy bottoms with a white top - Maximum of 7 days of time off (RTO) allowed during the contract - Orientations begin every other Monday American Traveler Job ID P-686367.
