the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find
a qualified Oncology RN in Albany, Georgia, 31701! Job Title:

Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: 2 years License: Required
Certifications: BLS, NIHSS preferred Must-Have: Minimum of 2 years
of experience in oncology specialty, no first-time travelers
Description: Unit is located on the 7th floor and consists of 29
beds. Nurses will work primarily on the inpatient oncology unit.
Charge Nurse will be available out of the staffing grid unless
unusual circumstances arise. There are generally 3 nurse aides
assigned per day. Weekend requirements include every other weekend.
Holidays will be rotated with the staff. Scrubs are Caribbean Blue
in color. There is central monitoring available, but reading strips
is not a requirement. Floating to medical acute is rare. The
floor-specific orientation lasts 3 days. Common diagnoses and types
of patients include acute oncology symptoms, thrombocytopenia,
neutropenia, sickle cell crisis, hematology cases, medical
overflow, oncology, and end-of-life care. Outpatient area patients
may come to the floor to finish treatment if the outpatient area
closes late. Cancellation policy is 12 hours every 2 weeks.
