Registered Nurse (RN) | Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Location: Albany, GA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,218 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 17 Weeks Start Date: 2/16/2026 About the Position Job Title: RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Duration: 17 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: - ACLS (AHA) - BLS (AHA) - NIHSS Must-Have: - Experience with fresh open hearts within the past 12 months - Knowledge of balloon pumps and CRRT - Ability to work in other ICU units when census in CVICU is low Description: Looking for a CVICU RN who is comfortable with fresh open hearts. Experience with fresh open hearts should be within the past 12 months. Requires knowledge of balloon pumps and CRRT. Must be willing to work in other ICU units when the census in CVICU is low. BLS, ACLS, ASLS, or NIHSS required. A minimum of 2 years of experience in the specialty is required. No first-time travelers accepted. Travelers do not need to have open heart experience when taking 1 to 1 assignments. Techs will be used for ADLs, fingersticks, and I/O. Every other weekend is required. Must be flexible and work in conjunction with core staff. Forest green or white pants and a white top are the required attire. Monitors are available in each room and at the nurse's station. Standard ICU drips and Draeger vents will be in use. An intensivist and NP will be available on each unit during the day. There will be an NP in-house and an intensivist on call during the night shift. PICC team support is available. Staff will float within their pod or to the stepdown unit. May be required to float to ED for tasks. Patients may present with sepsis, DKA, PN, ARDS, MODS, CV surgeries, post-vascular procedures, CRRT, and IABP. Strong ICU skills and assessment skills are essential. This is a high-acuity ICU requiring well-rounded experience in medical, surgical, and some cardiac care. No self-scheduling or block scheduling is allowed. Nurses will be assigned to one primary unit but will float to other units as needed.
