Registered Nurse (RN) | Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma Location: Albany, GA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,150 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 8 Weeks Start Date: 1/26/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Duration: 8 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in an acute care setting License: Active nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, ASLS or NIHSS, TNCC preferred Must-Have: Must have Meditech experience Description: The candidate must have 2 years of emergency room experience in an acute care setting. COVID immunization is not required, but unvaccinated individuals must be willing to undergo weekly testing. Candidates will take an online cardiac rhythms test with a minimum passing score of 80% and the ESI triage exam during orientation. There is a designated area for fast-tracking less acute patients, screening many non-emergent cases to community care clinics. The facility features 25 monitored beds, 6 fast treatment beds, 6 fast treatment chairs, 2 trauma bays, a recess bay, and a dedicated stroke room. There is a 4-bed behavioral lockdown area staffed by psychiatric professionals. The average patient volume is approximately 140 visits per day, with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1 to 4. Nurses draw labs and start their IVs, while the respiratory team is available 24/7 and dedicated to the emergency department. Triage is performed by a dedicated nurse, and previous experience with triage systems is preferred. The team includes a charge nurse, nurse aides, paramedics, security, and patient sitters for enhanced support. On weekends, staff are required to work every 3-4 weeks, and there is a holiday commitment of every other holiday. The common patient diagnoses range from pediatric to geriatric, including trauma and neuro cases. The facility is a certified stroke center but does not keep burn patients. Candidates are expected to have prior experience with Meditech 6.15 and substantial experience in larger emergency rooms. Experience using Alaris pumps is also desired.
