Job Description Job Description Registered Respiratory Therapist - Full Time - Nights & Evenings Overview: The Registered Respiratory Therapist delivers direct respiratory care to patients in accordance with physician directives and collaborates with physicians regarding the effectiveness of therapies. This position necessitates a valid Respiratory Care Practitioner license and Registered Respiratory Therapist credentials, with a preference for candidates who have critical care experience. You will also consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness and serve as a knowledgeable resource for both physicians and nursing staff regarding respiratory care. Additional responsibilities will be assigned as needed. Consult with physicians regarding the effectiveness of respiratory therapies. Act as a resource for physicians and nursing staff on respiratory care matters. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications: Education: Completion of a CoArc accredited Respiratory Care program. Licensure: Must meet state licensing requirements and possess a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license. Certifications: Must hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). PALS certification is required for those working in the Emergency Room. Physical Requirements: Ability to push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs, pinch up to 10 lbs, and perform minimal kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Equipment: Proficient use of all relevant respiratory care devices. Preferred Education: Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. Preferred Experience: Critical care experience is highly desirable.
