Overview: The RN-Weekend3 (Full-Time Days) role entails delivering
high-level nursing care within a progressive care unit,
specifically for post-operative patients in cardiothoracic and
vascular specialties. This position emphasizes the use of advanced
therapies and monitoring techniques. The nurse will collaborate
with multidisciplinary teams, uphold patient confidentiality, and
engage in continuous professional growth, which includes

processes to ensure effective patient care. The RN maintains
accountability for the care provided to their assigned patients and
coordinates with various departments to enhance patient care while
safeguarding patient rights and confidentiality. Position

Option Differential: $10.00 for RNs Unit Description: 4D is an
intermediate ICU, also known as a Progressive Care Unit, featuring
a fully monitored 28-bed facility. We specialize in providing
high-acuity care for critically ill post-operative cardiothoracic
and vascular patients, as well as medical overflow cases. Common
treatments in 4D include management of chest tubes, lytic therapy,
antidysrhythmic medications, low-dose vasopressors, BiPAP,
high-flow oxygen systems, insulin drips, and precedex. The unit
collaborates closely with Neuro Trauma PCU and ICUs, offering
cross-training opportunities across departments. We are part of the
Critical Care Cluster, encompassing all ICUs and PCUs. 4D provides
an opportunity to deliver compassionate care in a dynamic,
team-oriented, and rewarding environment. There are endless
learning opportunities, and team members are committed to
mentoring. Career path programs are available for transitioning
into ICU units within an 18-month timeframe. Qualifications:
Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited registered nursing
program. Licensure: It is the candidate's responsibility to obtain
and maintain a current RN license in the state of employment or a
compact license, meeting all state board of nursing requirements.
Physical Requirements: Ability to push, pull, and/or lift up to 50
pounds regularly. Prolonged standing and walking are required
during each shift. Capability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist,
and squat to perform job duties. Certifications: Basic Life Support
certification from the American Heart Association or successful
