Under the guidance of the Manager of Co-worker Health, the
Co-worker Health Nurse is responsible for delivering health
services to our team members on a daily basis. This role is
performed in alignment with our mission, values, and service
standards. Position Overview: Co-worker Health RN – Hospital in
Springfield, MO Work Schedule: Monday–Friday No weekends or
holidays! Primary Responsibilities: Act as the main health resource
for all team members, beginning with onboarding and continuing
throughout their employment journey. Plan, organize, and oversee
all operations of Co-worker Health Services in accordance with
federal and state regulations as well as agency standards. Conduct
thorough health evaluations for new employees, which include drug
screenings, reviewing medical histories, lab tests, chest x-rays
(if necessary), and verifying immunizations. Administer and oversee
the TB skin screening program in line with state regulations.
Conduct respirator fit testing and provide necessary training.
Promote and administer annual flu shots and other vaccinations,
ensuring team members are aware of contraindications, potential
side effects, and necessary precautions. Provide first aid and
follow-up care for workplace injuries, collaborating with various
departments and supervisors to facilitate recovery and
return-to-work plans. May take on the role of Workers’ Compensation
coordinator, handling injury documentation, treatment coordination,
and communication with both internal and external parties. Ensure
the confidentiality of all health records and sensitive information
pertaining to team members. Compile and present monthly and annual
reports to ensure compliance with the Joint Commission, state
health departments, and other regulatory agencies. Stay updated on
trends and regulations in Co-worker Health, revising policies and
procedures as necessary. Engage in and support wellness
initiatives, needlestick safety, and environmental safety
committees. Embody our mission, values, and service standards in
all interactions and responsibilities. Communicate effectively
through clear and concise verbal and written updates regarding
co-worker health operations. Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications: Education: Graduate from an accredited nursing
program (LPN or RN) Licensure: Valid nursing license in Missouri
(LPN or RN) Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a
clinical or hospital environment Certifications: BLS certification
