Utilizing the nursing process, you will deliver patient care under the guidance of licensed professionals authorized by a State regulatory board to prescribe treatments and medications, or under the supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse (RN). You will maintain professional accountability for the care provided to your assigned patients and coordinate care in collaboration with various departments, ensuring patient rights and confidentiality are upheld. Position Overview: Location: Our organization, serving Springfield and nearby areas Department: GIG Status: PRN/Per Diem/Flexible/Float Shift: Varies JoinOurNursingTeam Incentives: $30/hour base pay Incentives for variable shifts W-2 employee status Minimum of 12 hours worked every 90 days Options for 4, 8, or 12-hour shifts Flexible work opportunities throughout the community based on your availability Position Summary: Are you looking for a flexible Licensed Practical Nurse role with incentives? You can choose between day or night shifts that suit your schedule! There are no mandatory weekend, holiday, or shift commitments. Participation in the Gig Nursing Program requires you to manage a minimum number of hours, be available on short notice, and remain adaptable to last-minute shift changes. Please note that this program does not guarantee shift hours and will be prioritized for cancellations. Departments Seeking GIG LPNs: Medical-Surgical (MS) Behavioral Health (BH) Qualifications: Required Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent. Completion of an accredited practical nursing program; relevant educational experience and successful licensure will also be considered. Licensure: Must obtain and maintain a current compact LPN license. Experience: At least one year of recent bedside LPN experience. Preferred Experience: Familiarity with Epic software. Certifications: BLS certification required for Med Surg (MS) and Behavioral Health (BH). IV certification is mandatory. Additional certifications may be required post-hire. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for most of the shift; significant bending, stooping, and lifting of patients with assistance; ability to push, pull, or grip up to 50 pounds.
