Description: 4D is an intermediate ICU, also known as a Progressive
Care Unit, featuring a fully monitored 28-bed facility. We
specialize in high-acuity care for critically ill post-operative
cardiothoracic and vascular patients, as well as medical overflow
cases. Common treatments in 4D include management of chest tubes,
lytic therapy, antidysrhythmic medications, low-dose vasopressors,
Bipap and high-flow oxygen systems, insulin drips, and precedex.
Our unit collaborates closely with Neuro Trauma PCU and ICUs,
providing opportunities for cross-training. We are part of the
Critical Care Cluster, encompassing all ICUs and PCUs. Working in
4D allows you to provide compassionate care in a dynamic,
team-oriented environment. There are endless learning
opportunities, and our team members are committed to mentoring. We
offer career path programs to facilitate transitions into ICU units
within an 18-month timeframe. Qualifications: Education: Must be a
graduate of an accredited registered nursing program. Licensure:
You are responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN
license in the state of employment, adhering to all state board of
nursing requirements. Physical Requirements: Ability to push, pull,
and/or lift up to 50 pounds regularly Prolonged standing and
walking are required during each shift Capability to grip, reach,
bend, kneel, twist, and squat as necessary for job duties
Certifications: Basic Life Support certification from the American
Heart Association or successful completion of the course within 30
