Doctor of Medicine | Family Practice Location: Dothan, AL Employer: VieMed Healthcare Staffing Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Shift Information: Days Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Family/Internal Medicine Physician – Outpatient Primary Care (PERM) Location: Dothan, Alabama Position Overview: VHS is seeking a full-time, outpatient Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physician to join our well-established primary care practice in Dothan, Alabama. This is a hospital-employed position within a dedicated outpatient clinic, offering a stable and rewarding opportunity to serve the community with quality healthcare. Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive primary care services to a diverse patient population within the outpatient setting. Manage routine health concerns, chronic disease management, preventive care, and health screenings. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of board-certified physicians, nurse practitioners, and support staff. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters in electronic health records. Participate in shared phone call duties, with an equitable workload among all providers. Refer patients for specialized care as necessary, utilizing in-house lab and radiology services. Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives within the practice. Qualifications: BE/BC in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine. Valid Alabama medical license or eligibility to obtain licensure. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care. Prior outpatient experience preferred but not required. Practice Highlights: Clinic hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Friday, 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. No inpatient responsibilities, allowing for work-life balance. In-house laboratory and radiology services to streamline patient care. Part of a well-respected primary care group serving the community for over 70 years.
