Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Pharmacist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 12/01/2025 - Duration: 16 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 10 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Travel Pharmacist – Inpatient | Nights | Dothan, AL Contract Length: 16 weeks Shift: Nights – 7 on / 7 off (8:00 PM – 6:30 AM) Block Scheduling Available Location: Dothan, AL Role Overview: Join Southeast Health as an Inpatient Pharmacist on a 16-week travel assignment. This role is ideal for pharmacists with 2 years of hospital experience, including first-time travelers. You will provide expert medication management for a diverse patient population, including neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics, in a 420-bed acute care facility. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare, dispense, and monitor medications in an inpatient/acute care setting - Clinical dosing including anticoagulants, cardiac, pediatric, geriatric, and renal dosing - Therapeutic medication monitoring and psychotherapeutic management - Utilize Pyxis medication dispensing systems - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes Qualifications: - Minimum 2 years of hospital pharmacy experience - IV Certification required - RPh and AL State License required - First-time travelers welcome Schedule Highlights: - Nights 7 on / 7 off (8:00 PM – 6:30 AM) - Every other weekend included as part of the 7-day rotation – no call required - Block scheduling available for improved work-life balance Facility Requirements: - COVID-19 Vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions allowed) - Flu Vaccine required (no exemptions) - Experience in larger healthcare facilities preferred Compensation & Benefits: Why This Role: Gain valuable travel experience in a high-volume hospital with flexible block scheduling, allowing for extended time off between assignments.
