qualified OR RN in Selma, Alabama, 36701! Pay Information $2,286
per week About The Position Job Title: Operating Room Nurse
Profession: RN Specialty: OR Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday to
Friday Hours per Shift: 06:30 - 15:00 Experience: Minimum of 2
years of recent OR RN experience in a hospital setting License:
Must have state RN license Certifications: ACLS, BLS & PALS
certifications (must be through the American Heart Association)
Must-Have: Experience in OR Circulator with Endoscopy experience;
knowledge of Endoscopy, Orthopedic, and General OR specialties;
prefer additional experience in ENT and GYN Description: The
Operating Room Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills,
scientific judgment, and leadership in anticipating and planning
for the care of the patient in the operating room. As a member of
the surgical team, the RN collaborates with surgeons,
anesthesiologists, and other personnel to provide patient care in
the operating room. Care is provided according to regulatory
standards, physician orders, and hospital policies and procedures.
Responsibilities include ensuring supplies are available,
timeliness of cases, effective communication with families,
updating physician preference cards, and scrubbing and assisting
physicians during surgical cases. The RN will also supervise
personnel delivering patient care. Shifts will be 6:30 am to 3 pm,
with the expectation of being on call for at least 10 days a month,
including taking call over the weekend twice a month.
